The Insider's
Guide
Bangkok is the bespoke capital of the world, but navigating the options can be overwhelming. Here is everything you need to know about fabrics, fit, pricing, and how to spot the difference between a deal and a disaster.
01. Pricing
The Price of Quality
"How much does a suit cost?" is the most common question we get. The answer depends entirely on construction and fabric. In Bangkok, you will see offers for "2 Suits for $100". While tempting, these are typically mass-produced fused suits made from synthetic polyester that traps heat.
Quality starts at 6,000 THB.
Always ask to touch the fabric bolt. Polyester feels slick and plastic-like. Wool has a texture and "bounce" to it.
02. Timing
The Importance of Time
Speed is the enemy of perfection. While "24-hour tailoring" exists, it is impossible to create a bespoke pattern and perform necessary structural adjustments in that timeframe.
The "Rush" Suit

Red Flags & Tourist Traps
The "Tuk-Tuk" Driver
Never trust a driver who offers a "special deal." They commission your purchase.
The "Burn Test"
Theatrics. Anyone can fake a burn test or swap threads. Trust your hand feel.
The "Armani" Catalog
Bespoke is about YOUR body, not a celebrity photo. Avoid "point and shoot" styling.
